Celebrating its 16th walk, the 2013 Heart&Sole Cancer Walk went off without a hitch again this year, and Enertech’s Mitchell (South Dakota) Team Members earned the esteemed title of largest contributor.  In fact, it’s the fourth year in a row they’ve garnered this illustrious title, and we couldn’t be more proud of this dedicated group of employees.

With the sole purpose of raising money to help those with cancer, the Heart&Sole Cancer walk money stays local and is distributed through the Heart&Sole Cancer Assistance.  They’ve already sent checks in excess of $475,000 to patients since the organization’s inception in 1998.

This past year, our factory employees donated a total of $2,445.  Aside from Enertech Global’s corporate contribution of $175, the rest of the money was completely raised by home team members through various raffles, fundraisers, luminary sales and t-shirts.

They raise money all year with a Halloween Costume Contest, Thanksgiving groceries raffle, bake sales, Valentine’s Day basket raffle, and even sold aluminum cans to raise funds, among other things.

Ron Wright, our Canadian Sales Manager, commented, “The Enertech Team does it again. Congratulations and well done!  This is a great example of individuals pulling together with their eye on the goal.  Mitchell Team, you have demonstrated a real team effort and are to be commended.  This is what sets Enertech Global apart and out front.”

We couldn’t agree more Ron! Thanks to all our Mitchell Team Members who participated in this endeavor, and especially thanks to those who helped organize the effort.  The charitable fund committee is comprised of Cindy Kaupp, Della Hammer, Aaron Degen, Robin Casillas, Jerolyn Dean, Brenda Young, Patty Jones, Sarah Dewald, and Doug Bruner.

Thanks everyone for being upstanding members of your community and valued team members at Enertech Global!
