Most Americans have been affected in some way by breast cancer. That’s why our employees in Greenville have decided to take action to raise money and awareness with Enertech’s “Denim Days.” In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, participating employees donated $20 to wear blue jeans to work for the month of October.
According to the American Cancer Society, about 1 in 8 women in the US will develop invasive breast cancer during her lifetime. It is the most common cancer among women worldwide and the second-most common cancer overall. In 2015, an estimated 231,840 cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. alone.
Our team raised over $500 to help support the cause. On October 29th, the funds were donated to a local Greenville resident currently fighting breast cancer.
At Enertech, part of our philosophy is a belief in improving the global atmosphere through environmental consciousness, a culture of care, and enduring optimism. When our employees pull together for programs like Denim Days, we couldn’t be more proud.
Great job to the FUN Committee for organizing the Denim Days fundraiser and thanks to all of the Enertech team members who participated in this exciting (and comfy) program. YOU are the Enertech difference!
